We recently submitted recommendations to the Toronto Police Service Board regarding its public order policy. These submissions emphasize the need for a zero-tolerance stance on hate during protests, demonstrations, and occupations. They also outline key considerations for how police should respond to such events and provide recommendations for provincial governments to take stronger action against hate crimes.
