Report a Hate Crime

The Alliance of Canadians Combatting Antisemitism (ALCCA), the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), and the Canadian Jewish Law Association (CJLA) formed the Canadian Criminal Law Working Group (CCLWG) to support individuals impacted by antisemitic hate-motivated incidents across Canada.

If you have experienced or witnessed what may be a hate-motivated incident, the CCLWG can help provide guidance on reporting the incident, navigating the criminal justice system, and understanding available legal options and next steps.

For more information, to request assistance, or to volunteer legal expertise, please contact: info@cclwg.ca.

What to Expect

After contacting the Canadian Criminal Law Working Group (CCLWG), a member of the team will review your inquiry and may follow up to request additional information.

Depending on the nature of the incident, the team may provide guidance on:

  • Reporting the matter to police or other authorities;

  • Navigating the criminal justice system;

  • Possible legal options and next steps; and

  • Additional resources or referrals where appropriate.

Please note that contacting the CCLWG does not replace reporting potentially criminal incidents to local police.

If you are in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, call 911.
