Toronto recently hosted the first-of-its-kind Building Indigenous–Jewish Friendship conference, bringing together approximately 70 Indigenous and Jewish activists, academics, and community leaders to explore shared goals, allyship, and opportunities for collaboration. ALCCA Honorary Chair Harry S. LaForme, who is Anishinaabe and a member of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, was among the featured speakers.
