Shabbat Morning with Guest Speaker Dr. Ragini Sharma

On May 16, 2026, Temple Sinai hosted a special Shabbat morning conversation with Dr. Ragini Sharma of the Canadian Organization for Hindu Heritage Education (COHHE), a valued ally from the Hindu community and a member of ALCCA.

In discussion with Rabbi Dolgin, Dr. Sharma spoke about the history and experiences of Canada’s Hindu community, the challenges of anti-Hindu hatred and misinformation, and the importance of interfaith solidarity in confronting hate and extremism.

The conversation also explored shared experiences faced by Jewish and Hindu communities, including the misuse of symbols, prejudice, and the importance of education, respectful dialogue, and allyship across communities.

The meaningful and thoughtful exchange highlighted the value of learning from one another and standing together in defence of dignity, inclusion, and democratic values.
